5. Registration and participation

A. Webinars and programmes

The webinars the Institute provides through webinars.edu.gr are free of charge. Registration requires you to complete your details correctly and in full. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide.

B. Personal credentials

The passwords and credentials for access to the learning platforms are personal. You may not share them or give them to third parties. You are responsible for any use of your account.

C. Technical requirements

To attend online programmes you need an internet connection and suitable equipment. The Institute is not liable for interruptions or malfunctions caused by your own connection or device.

D. Credit points (“μοριοδότηση”)

Credit points apply to dentists in Greece (credit points under the Greek system). The Institute does not award credit points. Only if you choose this at registration does it pass your details to the scientific society organising the webinar, so that they can be passed on to the Hellenic Dental Association.

E. Certificates and attendance hours

Attendance hours are recorded on the learning platforms. Certificates of attendance are issued in accordance with the rules of each programme.

6. Personal data and cookies

The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. The use of cookies is described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.

7. Payments

No payment is made on the Institute’s websites, and none will ever be requested through them. We do not collect card or bank account details on the websites.

Payment for programmes that are not free of charge is made:

  • by bank deposit to a bank account of the Institute,
  • by card at the physical venue,
  • through IRIS.

Payment details are given when your registration is confirmed. Payment in full is due at least two (2) weeks before the start of the programme.

8. Withdrawal and refunds

As its own policy, the Institute gives all participants the right to withdraw from the participation agreement within fourteen (14) days of concluding it, without giving a reason, by written notice to info@merimnaseminars.gr. Refunds are made by the same method as the payment. If a programme does not take place, the full amount paid is refunded.

The right is not provided for accommodation, transport or catering services with a specific date of provision, where these are included in the programme, nor where the service has already been fully provided.

If you are a consumer within the meaning of Law 2251/1994, the rights the law gives you (articles 3e and 3ib) are not affected by these terms.

9. Force majeure

The Institute is not liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations caused by force majeure, that is, events beyond its control that could not be foreseen or prevented. This includes tickets, participants’ accommodation and instructors’ lodging, where these are included in programmes. In such a case the Institute may postpone or modify the programme and will inform you as soon as possible.

The Institute decides case by case, taking into account the interest of the participant, on the refund or transfer of money that has already been paid.

10. Rules of conduct

When taking part in programmes and webinars you must follow these rules:

  • respect the instructors, the other participants and the Institute’s staff,
  • follow the organisers’ instructions and the programme schedules,
  • do not act in ways that disrupt the smooth running of the programme,
  • do not record (image or sound) or rebroadcast the content of programmes without written permission.

The Institute may exclude from a programme anyone who breaks these rules.

The Institute decides case by case, taking into account the interest of the participant, on the refund of money to a participant who is excluded from a programme.
