The Digital Dentistry Society global conference in Baden-Baden, “Focus on Digital Dentistry! Science & Clinics”: virtual and augmented reality, printing and milling, static and dynamic navigation, and robotics.
The Conference
The Digital Dentistry Society Global Conference took place in Baden-Baden, Germany, on 3–5 October 2019, under the title “Focus on Digital Dentistry! Science & Clinics”. Merimna Institute took part as an official scientific partner of the DDS.
The conference focused on emerging digital technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality, printing and milling, static and dynamic navigation, and robotics, with the aim of providing them with a scientific foundation and integrating them into a predictable clinical workflow. The scientific programme followed the digital path Scan / Plan / Make / Done.
On Thursday 3 October, the DDS Partners Day featured lectures, workshops, live surgeries and a poster competition by partner companies. On Saturday afternoon, the conference closed with an interactive Treatment Planning Session, in which three teams (Europe, USA and South America, Middle East) presented their own approach to a clinical case.
